“The portrait of Darian Gray” by Oscar Wilde is a tale referring to the consequences of a life devoted to pleasure. More specifically, Darian Gray had wished that the picture would grow old and ugly while he remained young and beautiful. However, could such thing become true? My favourite part of the book was when he realises that he will grow old and the painting will stay young. The reason why I liked this part is because the plot twist was really shocking and intriguing. I really recommend this book because it is really fun and it has deep meanings.
