Herbert and his father Homer decided to visit the forest. Homer was a ranger and he wanted to teach his son about forest animals. Suddenly they spotted a spiked animal in the bushes. Herbert wanted to touch it but his father told him to stop. He explained him that it was a porcupine and if it is scared it will use its spikes to attack him when somebody chooses it, the Porcupine ran up a tree. They were about to leave when suddenly they spotted another animal with spikes, it was a hedgehog. Homer explained his son that hedgehogs are friendly, they don’t attack you but they roll up in a ball. The porcupine eat plants and tree bark and hedgehog is smaller animal and eat insects. Herbert was ready curius and she moved slowly his hand towards porcupine. A long sharp spike stuck in his hand and he crying. His father took a pair of tweezers from the first-aid kit. And he pulled the spike out. He explained his Son that forest animals are wild and that they aren’t used to people touching them like pets. Herbert learned a valuable lesson. We must listen to our parents and not let curiosity get the better of us.
