“ The blue Scarab” by Jenny Dooley is a story about a girl named Monica, who visits Cairo and discovered an unusual blue scarab necklace. A mysterious woman in the shop tells Monica that the necklace allows her to travel back in time to ancient Egypt. My favourite part of the book is when she realises how important the necklace is and that she can save her beloved ones. I like this part because she uses the necklace to save her family and this shows her love for them. I would totally recommend this book because it’s fascinating and exciting!
