Summary:

The book talks starts off explaining why the vacuum of space is a hostile enviroment with examples such as how much time it would take for a person to become unconcious due to the lack of oxygen to the brain,about how cold the temperatures are and about the radiation that would cause damage to any matter.It also talks about the specially designed space suits that astronauts wear and how useful they are in a cold place like space and about the first astronaut that took steps outside a spacecraft which was Aleksei Leonov which was a great achievement.Furthermore,it talks about space walks and how much they have evolved over the years and their evolution.Lastle, it talks about the challenges they have to face when conducting space walks such as the puffy face syndrome and other illnesses and the intense training they did before conducting a space walk to ensure their safety.

My favourite part of the book is when it explains all of the symptoms of going into space because i used to think that when you go to space and return to earth you would be completely fine but in reality there are a lot of illnesses and radiation going around in space
