Moon and Tides is a factual book written by the authors of Hamilton House. The main characters are The Moon, The Earth and The Sun.
As the novel says, The Moon is visible on our night sky, because it reflects sunlight. It has a pretty small atmosphere and that’s the reason why you can’t see a blue sky from there. That’s also the reason why more meteorites fall on it that The Earth. When The Earth comes in between The Sun and The Moon, it’s a lunar eclipse. When The Moon comes in between The Sun and The Earth, it’s a solar eclipse. Why are tides created? Well, it’s because The Moon’s gravity pulls water up. When water is pulled up by The Moon it’s high tides. When it’s not, it’s low tides.
This book has a quite interesting and well-written plot. My favourite part was when it was giving an experiment which can help us figure out if The Moon is rotating.
I would recommend this book to anyone who likes learning things, especially about nature and space.
