Fast food Nation is a factual book written by Mo Choy with the main characters being Coco, Sylvia and Raúl.
The main characters want to leave Mexico and go to the USA to start a new life. But to achieve this, they have to cross a desert first. They manage to achieve this with the help of an Uber driver. They get a job at a fast food company and Raúl who works in the meat packing factory sees that it is very dirty, but he gets the money that he needed to work months in Mexico for them in just one day which makes Coco and Sylvia very happy. Luckily Sylvia and Coco get an easier job. But after some months of working, Raúl has a terrible accident in work while trying to save a colleague from death. Luckily he survives, but this accident made Sylvia get another job to be safer.
This novel has Well-developed characters and the plot is quite interesting and I liked that it was giving a lot of information through a story. My favourite part about the book was when it said what is truly inside a burger.
I highly recommend this book. You won’t regret reading it and you might stop eating burgers after reading it as well.
