Author: The author of the book is Charles Dickens and relold by Jenny Dooley.
Summary:

One beaone beautiful day a boy named Davit was born, his aunt didn’t like him because she didn’t like men. His father died shortly before he was born, so he lives in a beautiful house with his mother and the maid, he spent a very good time with his family until his mother took him on vacation to a very good family where there he met a frined and a chick named Emili, very beautiful, when I got back home, mom was married. but his stepfather didn’t behave well anymore and beat him, one day he was informed at school that his mother and little brother had died. After their death, his stepfather took him out of school and took him to work, but he was still 12 years old, there he met some very good people who gave him a lot of advice for life. One day he decided to go to his aunt to help him walked there and he was so tired and dirty that his aunt didn’t know him. He asked for help and aunt helped him and took him to school, where he met new friends, he met Agnes, who had him as a sister, and Dora, the girl  he fell in love. He left them because he continues univerity and he found out that Emil is getting married to Ham. And she was gone, but the man who raised Emil was looking for him. Things were not going well and he had to help Agnes with her father, but Dora got sick and died. After Dora’s death, he decided to go to Europe, but first he helped Agnes and his aunt with their business. then Elim also returned home. when things were in order he fled to Australia and there he wrote many books and became a famous writer but during all this time his mind remained on Agnes when he returned to London he talks to Agnes. They got married and became a big family with 3 children.

Summary:

The book talks about the childhood of Jem and Scout, offspring of Atticus, a lawer. Jem, Scout and their friend Dill, always wanted to see Boo Radley as he was locked in the house for years after being acused for stabbing his father in the leg with scissors. Another matter the family had to deal with was the fact that Atticus had to protect a black man on court. At that time, black people where considered slaves and not normal human beings. Of course, Jem and Scout got teased for being children of Atticus at school. That disturbed them a lot, and made them realise how unfair the world is. On court the all white jury has to judje the black man for his action and decide if he is guilty. Will Atticus manage to save the life of the black man? And will Boo Radley show his face in the neighbourhood ever again?

Animal Farm

Summary:

Animal Farm by George Orwell captures the themes of abuse and history repeating itself. Animal Farm begins like an ambitious children’s story.The owner of this farm Mr. Jones falls asleep in a stupor after a drunken binge and all of his animals at the request of old Major, a 12 year old pig. Major delivers a rousing political speech about the evils inflicted upon them by the human keepers and their need to react against the tyranny of the keepers. After some time, when Jones -the owner, forgets to feed the animals, the revolution occurs. Then the owners are attached to the animals. Manor Farm was renamed to Animal Farm. From this is how animals command, by getting revenge. All in all, a group of animals who rebel against humans and became their own masters.

This book is about Hula.Hula is a Hawaiian dance form expressing Chant or song. It was developed in the Hawaiian Islands by the Native Hawaiians who settled there.The hula dramatizes or portrays the words of the oli or mele in a visual dance form. The title of the book is The Hula. The author of the book is Rob Waring. The kind off book it is: factual, classic, nature, historica (because it tells us about the history of Hula).

Long ago, people in Hawaii performed a special dance called the ‘hula’. Then, for more than 60 years, the king returned the hula dance was not allowed.Finally, after many years,a king returned the hula dance to the people.

  This book is a well written novel with nice exercises and an exciting plot. My favourite part of the book is on page 4. It’s my favourite part because it’s about Hawaii and I also really like the picture with the scenery and the girls doing the Hawaiian dance.

 I would definitely recommend this book to any of my friends. This book is worth reading, because it’s tells about another Island and another nationality and  tells us about a place that is different from ours (that is, Greek more generally).

Blue cows?

Summary:

In Rajasthan there is an animal called nilgai(blue cow) that has been eating the Rajasthani farmer’s crops and that is effecting especially the small farmer’s because there crops are damaged then they may not have enough money or food to eat.The farmer’s can’t kill the nilgai because it’s named after the cow which has a high place in the Hindu religion.The interesting is fact is that despite it’s name the nilgai or ‘blue cow’ is not really a cow at all it’s actually a kind of a antelope.50 years ago in the Indian state of Punjab farmer’s had the same problem with the nilgai.They gathered in a Hindu temple to look for a solution and they found one.The farmer’s of Punjab changed the name of the animal from nilgai(blue cow) to nilgodha(blue horse).By switching the name of the animals they became ‘horses’ not ‘cows’ as a result the farmer’s of Punjab had control of the number of the ‘blue horses’ and keep them away from their valuable crops.The Rajasthani farmer’s want to give the nilgai a new name as the Punjabis did years ago.After all if the Punjabis did it why not them? for now the ‘blue cows continue to fight for the crops.At the moment nobody knows just who will win the battle.
