Recommending a place

Dear Jane,

It’s great to hear from you. The place I’d recommend for someone to visit in my country is Mount Parnassus. Mount Parnassus is a mountain in central Greece that towers above Delphi. It’s a truly beautiful place with spectacular scenery and many places to visit.

There, you can see the scenic view of the countryside. There are huge forests, beautiful alleys and landscapes. Also, the mountain is the location of historical, archaeological and other cultures sites, such us Delphi where you can visit.

There are plenty of fun activities to do. You can go hiking in the three warm seasons. In winter, you can go skiing in Parnassos Ski Resort. And afcourse, you can have a hot chocolate or coffee at the small, traditional cafes in the area.

All in all, a visit to Mount Parnasus is a must for anyone who’s never been there. It’s a wonderful place with amazing scenery and lots of things to do. Write back.

Describing people ex. 5

Dear Peter,

Thanks for your letter.My favourite family member is my brother.Vasilis,has always seen me from a good point of view.

Vasilis is of medium height and thin in his mid teens.He has got a small round face with thin cheeks,a small nose and full lips.He has also got blond straight hair,round and small green eyes and he doesn’t have any special features.

My brother is a very serious, responsile and mature person.I was never lucky to see him goof or bother anyone.He’s a very sociable,funny and respectful person,too.He’s very creative and quiet courageous,because  sometimes,he isn’t afraid of danger pf danger.However,he can get a little nervous towards me.

I like my brother,because he loves football and he’s made me love it,too.We usually talk about diffrent transfers and ways I can improve in this sport.Vasilis taught me football.He’s a wonderful person and I feel lucky and grateful to have him as a brother.What about you?Who is your favourite family member?

I’m lust writing you to say sorry about not inviting you to my party.Please accept my apologise.I know that we have been good friends good friends, since junior high school.

I was making my listfor the people when I dediced to wash the dishes and do the laundry.As one hour had already gone by,I went to my grandmas house,to see her.When I arrived home, I totally forgot about finishing my list with the people and I started sending messages to them and I forgot you.

I sincerely regret what has happend.To repay you for my big mistake,I would like to do something together,whatever you want.

I really didn’t mean to had upset you.I really feel terrible about what had happend.I hope you will forgive me.

The trip of my life

1st January in 2019-2020 was a day I had been looking forward to for a long time. I was both nervous and excited because for the first time in my life I would travel abroad, more specifically, to Prague to celebrate New Year’s Eve, with my family.

We arrived in the Czech Republic a day before to spend some time exploring the town. We went shopping and bought different kind of drinks and lentils which is a dish often served at midnight on New Year’s Eve, in Prague. We had done all the necessary preparations and we were ready for that special day!

So, at exactly 12:00 a.m., all the citizens, in the middle of the city centre, let off the fireworks up in the sky. Many kids were running in the streets with a big smile on their faces, while christmas carols were being sung by small groups of women and men. The atmosphere was beautiful and all the people were happy.

A feeling of excitement and happiness stayed with me throughout the day. I will always remember this life event of mine, because it made me feel enthusiasm. But the most important thing for me is, that I met new people and I came so close to them, that we still keep in contact!

The hidden treasures of Egypt

Summary:

This book talks about artifacts that have been discovered in Ancient Egypt. Dr. Zahi Hawass, Egypt’s most well known archeologist, explains the idea behind the exhibition that is displayed in the Cairo Museum. What he mentioned was the amazing number of artefacts found, resulting in 80,000 objects hidden away beneath the cool marble floors of the exhibition. The book also shows a lot of ancient artefacts for artificial toes to ivory palettes.

Favourite part of the book:
My favourite part of the book is when the display of the first plastic surgery case is shown. Basically what it shows is an artificial toe that was sawn into a person’s foot making it more easy for them to walk. What is also interesting is that they were buried with it which means that they believed that it would help them walk in the afterlife.

The Blue Scarab

Summary:

This book talks about a woman, called Monica who finds an Egyptian scarab in a gift shop. An older woman from the shop takes Monica and explains to her that she must keep this stone because it may help her see things she never thought were possible. When Monica finds out the importance of what is hanging around her neck, she decides to use it for the best. But can she save the souls of her loved ones and learn more information about her parent’s death?

My favourite part of the book, was when Monica was in the Lloyd’s Back Room which became cold and all the candles were blown out and Monica saw her parents on the boat trip where they had died. This was my favourite part because it was very emotional and touching.

Football is fun

My favourite hobby is football. I like it because it is a team game and it helps a lot fo your body. You play football with two teams and each team has 10 players and one goalkeeper. The one who will score the most goals wins!
I play with friends on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays. Football makes me feel excited.

Hi! I’m Rania and i’m a really busy girl. I love playing piano, dancing, learn new languages and read books. But my favorite hobby is drawing. I draw all day, even in the lessons.
