The author is Katherine Reilly and Jenny Dooley. The story of the book is about a boy who went to the forest with his father and saw a lot of animals he had not seen. He saw a porcupine and wanted to touch it, he chased it and touched it. At the end a spike stung his hand and he screamed for his dad. When he came he helped him and he was okay. That day Herbert learned that he shouldn’t touch everything that he sees because some animals may be dangerous. I recommend the book for young kids.
